A Day at Home, Away from Reality.
Have you ever stayed away from life for no more than a single day?
Only because you are at your own personal limit?
That day you are sickened, that day you are weary eyed, that day you collapse to the floor.
Those days you call in sick, for your own selfish reasons.
Do not worry we all have done it once, and it most likely wasn't our last.
We are all selfish once in a while, even the most noble of man.
All we wanted to do is stay at home and disconnect.
Or even sometimes get away from home, to get out of the old routine.
A routine that directed how we lived in our world.
You see, we wanted away from reality, if only for a little while.

I guess I should of figured that it wouldn't have been that easy--I missed the blade freezing Seth in a thin layer of ice.I stood there completely incapable of holding my own. This is when Klandemin stood up, there was not a single scratch on him--before hand he seemed like he would be incapable of moving his head without intense pain--he was just shaking his head in what looked like shame or embarrassment. Before I could ask him what was going on he took a small jar that was labeled "Philip" from his bag, with it he shrank the gelatinous mass and contained it.
Seth began thawing out with a strange red glow resonating off of him, he
Inside a giant gelatinous shadow slime, not that great even the short time I was in there felt like an eternity, which probably only lasted a minute and a half. I seriously think the only thing that was good about this monstrosity was what it did to my dry skin. Forget all those lotions and creams from the pharmacy, blackish purple goop from another world, now that is a great skin moisturizer. Just try and imagine that advertisement on TV. Though the smell is not worth the trouble.
I could still see outside of the shadow, Klandemin was fine but he was probably down for the rest of the fight. Seth was back up, ready for another round
"Walker, hurry up we need to get going!" yelled Klandemin as he came running toward me. "There isn't that much time for us to chat this time sadly"
"What are you talking about old man?!" I said back to him. "And who's that guy?" I asked while gesturing to the guy in red.
I wasn't in any mood to follow this guy, he hadn't given me a single straight answer since I met him in the forest and now he wanted me to go with him someplace, the teach not to do this very thing in elementary school. Last night he told me about Vlauxin the world of dreams and nightmares, if he hadn't done that crazy sequence showing me the place I'd just think
Ask me how the rest of my day went, go ahead I dare you. I woke up at four in the morning and I had no interest in going back to sleep. Would you if you had just been falling into a void of nothing? Sure, it was a dream but heck I wasn't chancing it.
Anyways, I got out of bed, grabbed my laptop and sat down at my desk to watch some videos for several hours. Nothing out of the regular, just a bunch of comedic game commentators who I viewed regularly. Eventually I took a speed shower before going downstairs to get breakfast. I let out my dog, he's a chocolate Labrador named Reisiger (it means traveler Afrikaans, don't ask). Basically a
Everyday after my dream got longer to the point of obscurity, it was as if the clocks themselves decided to slow their mechanisms. On my walks I found that the neighborhood seemed lifeless; no sight of little ones playing outside, few of the usual evening joggers, the park was free of that yoga group that regularly met, even the animals were silent during these past evenings. The usually busy part of the city was quiet.
I took a seat at the park bench at the edge of the hill that looks down at the road, I saw only a few cars approaching from either way. I remained there for about 3 to 5 minutes, just taking in the sound of an odd sil
I stared at the man who stood a mere 7 feet away from me. He analyzed my expression of, if I had to guess, was confusion. I would be lying if I said I wasn't startled by this man, he had a weathered face from many years come and gone. The sun was beginning to rise over the horizon so I could see this strange unknown in a better light, he looked old, I mean early eighties late seventies and yet he sounded so youthful with his deep, aged voice. He wore a black bomber jacket, green cargo pants and a gray cabbie hat. His hair, grayed from brown long ago. The eyes also shone two different colors, his left eye was gray, the other, chocolate brow
